Prepare Fusion File Share configuration for Active Directory integration​

In the global section of /<path_to_shared_storage>/tsmb.conf the following configuration parameters are required:

userdb_type = ad
domain = fusion.tuxera
server_name = smbcluster

Additionally, the paths associated with the following global configuration options MUST point to storage that is shared between all nodes:

  • userdb_file (see the User Database File section of the server manual, note that while these instructions assume userdb_type = ad, Fusion does support concurrent use of Active Directory and local user database backends for authentication with ‘userdb_type = ad, text’)
  • privilegedb (see the Windows Privilege Support section of the server manual)
  • ca_path (see the Default auxiliary path for continuously available shares section of the server manual)
  • path parameter in tcp_tickle_params (see the Connection Recovery DB section of the server manual) Additionally, the paths associated with the following per-share configuration options MUST point to storage that is shared between all nodes:
  • ca_params (see the Continuous Availability section of the server manual)
